三隈川沿いに位置する、日田三丘陵の一つ「日隈山（ひのくまやま）」を中心とした緑あふれる公園です。 【住所】大分県日田市中ノ島 亀山公園は、三隈川沿いに位置する、日田三丘陵の1つ、日隈山を中心とした公園です。 公園内には、イチイガシ、ムク、エノキ等の数百年の大木が生い茂っており、市民や観光客の散策の場として親しまれています。 三隈川沿いに佇む「亀山公園 (きざんこうえん)」は、日田三丘陵のひとつ“日隈山”を中心とした公園です。 東側のみどり橋に架かる水辺にはせせらぎが流れ、歴史的な歌にも詠まれた景勝の地である、日田市を代表する水辺景観地です。
公園を囲む様に遊歩道があり、歩くだけでも楽しめます。 後で紹介しますが春は桜、秋は紅葉も見られますので尚オススメです。
